According to the "Regulations on the Development of China's Container Transportation Issues", 12 types of goods are suitable for containers, that is, power delivery, instruments, small machinery, glass ceramics, handicrafts; printed materials and paper, medicine, tobacco and alcohol Food, daily necessities, chemicals, needle textiles and hardware.


Which goods cannot be handled by container shipping?


1. Fresh goods. For example, live fish, shrimp, etc., because sea transportation is longer than other transportation methods, if fresh goods are transported by container, the goods will deteriorate during the transportation process.


2. If the weight of the cargo exceeds the maximum load-bearing weight of the container, such cargo cannot be shipped through the container.


3. Extra large size cargo cannot be shipped by container. Some large accessories are super high and super wide. These cargoes can only be transported by bulk carriers on the deck.


4. The container does not handle military transportation. If a military or military enterprise handles container shipping, it shall be handled as commercial transport. For military transportation using self-provided containers, it will no longer be handled in accordance with container transportation conditions.


In the transportation of containerized cargoes, for the safety of ships, cargoes, and containers, the appropriate container must be selected according to the nature, type, volume, weight, and shape of the cargo; or not only certain goods cannot be carried, but also due to improper selection And cause cargo damage. The selection of container cargo to container can be considered as follows:


(1) Clean goods and dirty goods: general cargo containers, ventilated containers, open top containers, refrigerated containers can be selected;


(2) Valuable goods and fragile goods: optional grocery containers;


(3) Refrigerated goods and perishable goods: refrigerated containers, ventilated containers and insulated containers can be selected;


(4) Bulk cargo: Bulk containers and tank containers can be selected;


(5) Animals and plants: choose livestock (animal) containers and ventilated containers;


(6) Bulky cargo: choose open top container, frame container, platform container;


(7) Dangerous goods: can choose general cargo container, frame container, refrigerated container.
